EQUIVENTURES was founded in 2003 by Leslie Cook (now Hodgson). An avid horse lover and competitor from the age of 6, Leslie started getting requests to teach at the early age of 16.
While still competing and earning National Championships in the Arabian Horse curcuit, she began teaching out of her home to young girls from her church. At the age of 20, Leslie gave up her amateur card, took on "professional status" and has helped many young riders realize their dreams through personal accomplishments and also recognized shows.
EQUIVENTURES closed for a short period, in which time Leslie was married in June of 2008 and now her and her husband Garrett are enjoying their first little girl, Starlynn, born May 14, 2009.
As per Leslie's dream, her horses are your horses. Come to our barn, meet the wonderful instructors, well-trained horses and learn horsemanship in the most enjoyable way.
